The Hollywood casting couch is a very real thing but “some girls don’t care”, a British actress claims.
South London-born Charlotte Kirk has appeared in dozens of big-budget movies and TV shows including Ocean’s 8.
But in March 2019, she hit the headlines after she alleged that former Warner Brothers boss Kevin Tsujihara had coerced her into sex.
Mr Tsujihara denied any wrongdoing and said the pair were in a consensual relationship.

She’s currently fighting a court case to remove a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that she claims is preventing her from telling her full side of the story.
Charlotte claims that many high-profile men in the entertainment industry abuse their positions to try to convince young hopefuls into having sex with them – known as a “casting couch”.
Major movie roles are generally won on merit, Charlotte says, but when it comes to dishing out the smaller parts “that’s when it gets a little bit – you know – seedy”.
“Some girls don’t care though,” Charlotte told podcaster James English. “Some girls will do whatever it takes…”
The problem is, she claims, that giving in to predatory producers’ demands is more likely to harm a young actor’s career.
“A lot of these people, these powerful people, they say they want to help you but they don’t,” the 31-year-old actress said.
“They don’t want you to succeed, because if you succeed you have a voice. If you have a voice you’ll out them … they’re scared that you’re gonna tell the truth.
‘They don’t want that. They’re sadist.s They suppress you. They’ll do the opposite; they’ll say ‘Oh I’ll help you, I’ll do this, and I’ll do that…
“They will not want to do that they do not they’re they’re very, very, very bad people there’s a lot of awful awful people in Hollywood.”
At present, Charlotte says, there’s an NDA preventing her from revealing everything she knows about sexual abuse in Tinseltown.
She continued: “I know some producers now that haven’t been outed or anything. They’re still making movies and they’re absolute scum.”
Non-disclosure agreements – NDAs – are routinely used to prevent their victims from speaking out. But Charlotte hopes to change all that. She’s named in a legal bid to make NDAs regarding sexual harassment illegal.
“I am currently the test case for that,” she says, “which is massive. If I win this this case … the floodgates will open and every victim will be able to speak out.”
