Amanda Holden got all emotional as she was joined by her rarely-seen “DIY-loving” step-dad on her property renovation show.
The Britain’s Got Talent host, 51, had flown out her dad to visit her in Sicily as part of Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job, which sees the presenter and comedian Alan Carr rejuvenate a house.
Amanda and the BBC show’s viewers were left touched as Leslie Collistor said he was “proud” of her in a sweet moment as he helped her to build a four-poster bed and decorate the lavish bedroom.

Amanda said: “As my parents are visiting,” adding: “I’ve roped in my DIY-loving dad Les to help me build it.”

Amanda said, as Leslie, who lives in Cornwall with her mum Judith, placed a loving arm around her: “My dad is so good at DIY,” adding: “He’s all self-taught. He had a book called Reader’s Digest when I was a kid.”
She continued: “I said to mum this morning that bodge it and leg it are your names. You’re living up to it.”
Amanda took charge of the hammer as she finished the build, with Leslie saying: “It’s perfect,” as Amanda detailed all the work she had done on the Italian home.

He added: “I’m proud of you for doing plastering.”
Giggling and burying her head into her dad’s shoulder, the married mum-of-two said: “You said you are proud of me!” and later told the cameras: “If he says I’ve done a good job then I’ve done a good job!”
Amanda and best pal Alan are currently renovating the house in Sicily in Italy, and documenting the process for a TV show on BBC One.

It comes after Amanda and Alesha Dixon got close for a sweet selfie backstage at Britain’s Got Talent.
The selfie appears to have been taken on the judging panel, where both ladies watch a barrage of acts audition to star on the ITV show.
Posting the selfie to the official BGT Instagram account, Amanda wrote: “More magical Manchester moments #BGT”
