BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent called out her co-host Jon Kay for keeping news of his sofa-search a secret from her.
The presenting duo bickered between themselves after Carol Kirkwood asked Jon whether he had find the sofa from an old BBC broadcast.
“It’s looking good Carol,” Jon whispered before Sally called him out.

“Hang on, you’ve just told Carol and everyone about getting a new sofa but I’ve been asking you for weeks!” she said, sounding hurt at being the last to know.
In his defence, Jon said: “I didn’t tell her anything I just said, ‘It’s looking good'”
Jon explained that he’d been on the search for a sofa that had been used in old Breakfast broadcasts by the BBC.
“You know that red sofa,” Jon started. “It’s an original red leather sofa and I said on air a few weeks ago, ‘I wonder where it is? Where did it end up?”
“People got in touch to say haven’t I got anything better to do with my life but look,” he said before showing a picture of his hand on a red sofa that looked like the one he had been on the search for.
Jon asked Sally excitedly: “That’s my hand, what am I touching Sally?”
But Sally seemed more interested in the fabric: “Is it leather or pleather?”
Jon quickly changed the subject, claiming that he’d reveal all in Tuesday morning’s broadcast.
“I’m not going to confirm if we found it but I found something and i’m going to talk about it tomorrow. The read leather sofa search, tomorrow morning, be there,” he told audiences.
Jon laughed, adding: “I’ve turned it into a jacket!”
Elsewhere in the show, Sally and Jon had been gearing up to Tuesday’s (17th Jan) BBC party. Jon had asked Carol whether she had a party hat ready for the event and she confirmed she did.
“Bring it, Carol, bring it!” Sally laughed.
