BBC Breakfast hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were left feeling uneasy as they were joined on the sofa by an odd guest.
Charlie, 61, turned to the metal Dalek that appeared to be staring at him bleakly and warned: “Look the other way.” Naga chimed in: “You wouldn’t want that at your birthday party would you?”
The Dalek joined the two presenters on the programme to mark 60 years of the hit show Doctor Who. While the metal cylinder didn’t get too close or say anything, the object still appeared to creep out Naga and Charlie.

In the famous robotic voice, the steel object said to Charlie and Naga: “Stay where you are do not move. Humanoids detected.” Where is the Doctor?”
It added: “Locate, exterminate. You will join us as we mark 60-years of Doctor Who. Do not miss it. You will obey. But first it’s time for the news, travel and atmospheric conditions… where you…do not move, do not deviate….obey the Daleks….obey…obey.”
After the news had concluded and the presenters were in full view of the camera, that’s when Charlie turned to xenophobic mutant with his takedown. With Naga scared and also in agreement.
Fortunately the fictional extraterrestrial being didn’t stick around – much to the joy of the hosts – with Naga commenting to Charlie: “Got rid of our friends have we?” To which he replied: “We’ve got no steps for he/she to get down so they should have been ok exiting.”
More recently it was revealed that Nage will be fronting a new BBC evening show. With the Radio 5 presenter now hosting and episode of Have I Got News For You!
The episode will air on Friday, December 8, on BBC One from 9pm. On the panel with Naga will be Richard Osman and Maisie Adam. Making it Naga’s second appearance on the programme.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.
