BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty made a savage swipe at co-star Carol Kirkwood when she called her “weird” right before her weather forecast.
Naga is known for teasing BBC weather star Carol before and after her weather segments, and it’s clear she hasn’t given up the banter in the New Year.
It came right after a technology segment which showed tech reporter Zoe Kleinman try on Meta’s new virtual reality headset and portrayed as an animated character tracked through her real-life movements.

Reacting to the report on Thursday’s show (January 5), Naga quipped: “Zoe Kleinman in all sorts of states reporting for us there.”
Co-host Ben Thompson added: “Yeah, there’s all sorts of weird and wonderful things come out of that show in Las Vegas.”
It was time to cue Carol’s forecast, but Naga couldn’t help having a cheeky pop at her colleague when she said: “Talking of weird and wonderful…”
Ben and Naga burst out laughing as the cameras panned to Carol, who clearly saw the funny side of it too as she was sporting a big grin on her face.
She then feigned a look of anger before Naga protested: “Ha, I saw you smile, Carol! Morning.”
Ben noted it was “cheeky” before Carol hit back: “Good morning, you cheeky thing.”
Ever the professional, Carol moved swiftly on from Naga’s mockery and carried on with her segment so viewers could hear about the conditions of the day.

It came as Naga’s co-host Charlie Stayt was absent from the studio and replaced by Ben on the red sofa.
Ben is one of the stand-in presenters that are recruited when the main presenters are unable to anchor the show.
Naga and Charlie normally host Breakfast together from Thursday to Saturday.
