BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay didn’t impress Sally Nugent after he dropped some unfortunate news on the morning show.
Carol Kirkwood gave the latest update on the weather as she hosted on the morning show, and in her updates she explained how temperatures are starting to drop.

Although she explained how things will be sunny over the next few days, the drop in temperature didn’t go unnoticed by the hosts.
The weather woman spoke to the hosting duo and said: “The temp, Sally and Jon, is slipping a bit more.”
Jon immediately responded: “Slipping into Autumn indeed…”
Sally shut him down as she responded: “Oh don’t say that! It’s still summer,” but she quickly changed her tune as she added: “It’s not is it? It feels very autumnal today.”
And they were certainly dressed for more of an autumnal occasion as Sally was seen donning a pink long-sleeved top paired with a nude skirt while Jon was in his usual suit.
Carol kicked off her day on the morning show by wishing her followers good morning on X, formerly Twitter.
She was inundated with well-wishes before she followed up with a brief snippet of the dropping temperatures, much to the dismay of her loyal fans.
However, her followers will be excited to hear that she’s planning a wild activity with fellow BBC Breakfast host Jon.
While Jon and Sally introduced a segment on gravy wrestling, the duo explained what was happening for the fun-filled activity – before Jon offered Carol to take part.
He said: “Fancy a bit of gravy wrestling Carol?”, prompting her to respond: “Only if there’s a big Yorkshire pudding.”
Jon then invited Carol to “nip” over to the gravy wrestling tomorrow, but she quickly interjected and hinted that they were running behind schedule before heading on with her weather segment.
After she finished her segment he told her that he’d booked a slot for them tomorrow at 3pm as she sarcastically said: “Jon, I can barely contain my excitement.”
Jon will likely share updates as to whether they do take part or not.
BBC Breakfast continues daily from 6am on BBC One.
