BBC star partied with TV bosses at awards after teen sex pic allegations were made

The BBC host who allegedly paid a teen for sexual photos partied with television bosses at an awards ceremony after the accusations were made, it has been claimed.

According to The Sun, a BBC star had paid £35,000 to a teen for explicit snaps, who then blew the money on drugs and became a “crack addict”.

Now, it has been claimed that the television star attended a swanky do with BBC bosses just weeks after the teen’s mother made the allegations.

The mother made an official complaint to the BBC on May 19, but the unnamed man was with other famous faces enjoying a slap-up dinner and wine at an event weeks later.

According to The Mirror, he was seen with senior BBC executive and also enjoyed a champagne reception.

An event guest claimed to the publication: “If this man was aware of what was hanging over him, he certainly didn’t show it.”

The man in question has not been named – but former cop Mark Williams Thomas, who revealed Jimmy Savile was a sex offender, has said licence fee payers have a right to know who it is.

Already a number of BBC favourites have denied having any involvement and told followers the man in question is not them.

Rylan Clark said on Twitter: “Not sure why my name’s floating about re that story in The Sun – that ain’t me babe. I’m currently filming a show in Italy for the BBC, so take my name out ya mouths.”

Gary Lineker tweeted: “Hate to disappoint the haters but it’s not me.”

Jeremy Vine wrote: “Just to say I’m very much looking forward to hosting my radio show on Monday – whoever the ‘BBC presenter’ in the news is, I have the same message for you as Rylan did earlier: it certainly ain’t me.”

The BBC star has been taken off air while an investigation takes place, but Mark Williams Thomas has slammed the length of time it has taken.

He told The Mirror: “The BBC has already had a month to look into this – they should have concluded their investigation by now and named the individual in question.

“It’s all about openness and transparency, but the BBC has got a track record of carrying out fatally flawed investigations. They need to get this investigated. It’s obligatory now that they go through proper due process to get this sorted as soon as possible.”
