Monica appeared on Big Brother’s Italian version between 2011 and 2012, staying in the house for its 12th season for a month before she was evicted.
She had been living Down Under in Australia and working as an English-language teacher before her television sting, but came home so she could go on the show.
While her series was airing, she got a visit from her then-boyfriend Diego, had been unhappy with her flirting with one of the other housemates, Fabrizio.
Her romance with Fabrizio did not last long after the show came to an end, though.
Local media is reporting that Monica was rushed to Soveria hospital after her collapse at a club, with doctors recording her death as nothing else could be done.
According to reports, one theory is that she suffered a heart attack, however an investigation is still ongoing.
