Big Brother legend Nadia Almada has demanded the show’s producers make huge changes to the series ahead of it’s new reboot.
Hailing from Portugal, Nadia made history back in 2004 as the first transgender contestant to enter the Big Brother house.
Her distinctive appearance, characterized by her voluminous curls and larger-than-life persona, captivated both fans and fellow housemates.

And now the former winner has publicly shared her thoughts on the kind of contestants she hopes to see in the upcoming season.
Nadia, now 46, reflected on the profound impact of social media on the landscape of reality television, comparing it to her own time in the spotlight two decades ago.

In a recent interview, Nadia acknowledged a noticeable shift in the program from its original conception.
She commented: “It’s almost like you have to have a social media presence to be considered.
“You need to create an audience and that will compel the producers of the show to bring you in,” she said.
“It’s a little bit different, as in those days, I guess there was none of that.”

Nadia went on to articulate that modern audiences come with a certain set of expectations when engaging with television content.
“Automatically, when you see someone on TV, you check them out on Instagram or you’re going to go on Twitter, or Google people,” Nadia shared,” Nadia revealed.
“It’s a very different time. I do still hope with the reboot, they’ll be one or two people who are just true and oblivious to most of this effect that exists within our social media platforms,” she continued.

Big Brother UK will run for at least two seasons on ITV, the network has said.
Paul Mortimer, the commissioning editor responsible for the high-profile reboot, confirmed that it will be given two six-week runs across this year and next and hinted that the channel could consider a celebrity version as per the Channel 5 edition.
“This is the start of it so watch this space,” said Mortimer. “We have really bought into Big Brother. A lot of us worked on it before [at different channels] and I can’t imagine we are in it just to do two six-week runs.”
The show is returning in October on ITV five years after it was axed by Channel 5, and it also ran on Channel 4 for a decade to 2010. ITV’s version will be produced by Banijay-backed Initial and hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.
