Carol Kirkwood has branded her BBC Breakfast co-star Jon Kay a “rascal” after her mocked her live on air.
The 60-year-old weather presenter was back on television screens on Wednesday (May 24) morning.
Jon Kay and Nina Warhurst were on the famous red sofa but Carol accidentally called Sally Nugent at the end of the report.

After sharing some good news about the glorious weather, Carol said: “Jon and Sal” before quickly correcting herself saying “Jon and Nina.”
Jon joked: “You have have another Pina Colada then.”
Carol replied: “Now you’re talking. Sounds like I’ve already had one doesn’t it?
Jon added: “I’ve been watching I know you have.”
“You rascal, Jon,” a giggling Carol playfully hit back.
Nina reassured viewers watching at home “She hasn’t by the way just to clarify she hasn’t. I’m sure she will now six minutes past nine, perfect Pina Colada time Carol.”
Sally was missing from the show during the latest instalment.
The 51-year-old star usually hosts the programme alongside Jon Kay Monday to Wednesday every week.
She appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday but missed Wednesday’s episode.
It comes after reports that Sally has split from her husband Gavin Hawthorn after 13 years of marriage.
According to MailOnline, the TV presenter has been left “devastated”.
A source told the publication: “It’s very sad but they are no longer together.
“I think they tried to tough it out for quite a while as they didn’t want to split up if they could possibly help it for the sake of their son but they clearly couldn’t make a go of it.
“They’ve both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it’s been plain for a while that they had been and now it’s obvious that they haven’t been able to resolve that despite clearly trying for some time.”
