Naturalist Chris Packham caused a divide amongst viewers on Friday night (June 16), after he appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox.
The brand new series returned to screens with a number of new faces making their show debut.
Chris appeared alongside his step-daughter Megan McCubbin while new faces Katherine Ryan and her husband Bobby Jane McDonald and friend Sue also joined the celeb lineup.

But TV presenter Chris had some fans delighted to see him on screen, while others complained that he was getting too much air time.
Taking to Twitter in their droves, Chris appeared to be one of the main talking points amongst fans.
One viewer said: “Deary me Chris Packham is so bloody ANNOYING. Why is he getting so much air time? Had to turn it off. I’ll tape it so I can fast-forward his bit. Get him off!!!”
Another penned: “Packham’s had too much air time already.”
A third wrote: “Who thought it was a good idea to inflict bloody Packham on get packham off. He’s doing my head in.”
But some were loving Chris on the show and praised the star’s television critiques.
Offering an opposing view, a viewer said: “I would happily watch an entire hour of just Chris Packham watching television. Brilliant.”
While another echoed: “Chris Packham is a great booking for #CelebrityGogglebox Hilarious.”
Before appearing on the show, Chris and Megan received negative views from some Gogglebox fans.

On the official Gogglebox account, a tweet was posted which read: “Watching animals is in their nature, but now all eyes are on @chrisgpackham2 and @meganmccubbinwild!” they captioned the post.
“Catch them on #CelebrityGogglebox tomorrow at 10pm, @Channel4.”
After seeing the post, one viewer said: “Won’t be watching then,” one fan commented. “Better record so can skip him [Chris],” a second echoed.
Despite this, some viewers were clearly overjoyed by their appearance.
The news comes after presenter Jane delighted her Twitter followers by announcing she would soon be joining the show.
She wrote: “I’m going to be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with my best friend Sue – it’s going to be an absolute blast!”
“We’ve shared some unforgettable moments over the years but I am really looking forward to spending time together on this wonderful show.”
