Celebs Go Dating bosses mark show first as couple make history with baby news

Bosses at E4’s Celebs Go Dating are celebrating after a pair from the show have had a baby girl.

Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy appeared on the eleventh series of the hit dating-reality series, when he met Love Island star Laura Anderson.

Despite going on dates with other people during their time on the show, the pair grew closer and were officially together at the end of the series at the end of last year.

Soon after the show ended, the pair announced they were splitting due to having a number of arguments as to where the pair would live.

But despite calling time on their relationship in February, the pair announced they were expecting a baby together.

Their new child was born in the early hours of September 2.

And the pair officially introduced the new bundle of joy to the world on Friday (September 8).

Laura looked beautiful as she was recovering after giving birth to her little kiddo, whilst Gary already showed his doting dad look, holding Laura tight.

Captioning the snap, bosses from the show were elated: “OUR FIRST GCD BABY!!!”, followed by confetti, crying and heart emojis.

“Congratulations Laura and Gary!” the account continued.

In a video posted to Laura’s Instagram page, the pair revealed that the baby came after the due date.

Dad Gary kept it humourous as he shared the video of Laura after she had just given birth.

“What a rollercoaster…Better late than never…Some people are worth waiting for,” he wrote.

Laura shared a series of snaps in the reel, taking on the voice of baby Bonnie.

“My Mummy & Daddy are sooooo happy and in love with me, this is our first week together,” she captioned the video.

Other Love Island stars including Shaughna Phillips and Faye Winter also sent their love to the new baby, congratulating the pair on their new arrival.
