Former Coronation Street actress and TalkTV presenter Nicola Thorp is pregnant.
The actress has taken to Instagram to announced that she and partner Nikesh Patel are set to become parents for the first time. She shared her news with her social media followers on Friday (September 29) alongside a set of professional pictures, showing off her blossoming baby bump in a glam pink gown.
In the couple’s joint post shared by Nikesh captioned “some news”, Nicola can be seen cradling her bump in a series of different candid pictures. The proud dad-to-be can be seen staring at his pregnant partner in the stunning snaps.

Unsurprisingly, Nicola and Nikesh’s news caught the attention of their followers, with some rushing to leave a message in the comment section. Former Corrie actress Katie McGlynn wrote: “Congrats lovely”, while one fan penned: “Ahh wow! Many congratulations, team! Wonderful news!!”

A third person said: “Congratulations. I clocked that bump weeks ago. You look fabulous.” While a fourth social media said: “You guys are the best.” The baby news comes just month after Nicola and Nikesh got engaged.
In January this year, the couple announced their engagement and jokingly posed with their mouths open wide as she displayed the gold ring, featuring an emerald surrounded by diamonds, with a second picture showing them cosying up together.
Nicola first revealed she was in a relationship with the actor in 2021, posting a sweet snap of the couple on social media. Nikesh has appeared in a number of TV shows including Channel 4’s Indian Summers, BBC’s Starstruck and the mini-series Four Weddings and a Funeral.

The TV star is known for playing Nicola Rubinstein on Corrie from 2017 to 2019. Since quitting the ITV1 soap, she has turned her hand to broadcasting and is now set to juggle her own show and becoming a new mum. Launching on Monday (October 2), Nicola will co-host brand new breakfast TV show, Talk Today, with Jeremy Kyle, who recently announced his wife is pregnant with his six child.
The morning staple will air on TalkTV daily from 6am to 9.30am, with Nicola and Jeremy anchoring the Monday to Thursday instalments. Nicola said: “It’’ a dream come true to be co-hosting the brand-new breakfast show Talk Today.
