Coronation Street has been hit by the cost-of-living crisis.
Show favourite Roy Cropper, played by David Neilson, 74, has hiked prices at his cafe on the ITV soap.
The cost of pie with chips and mushy peas has increased from £2.60 to £5.50 in just four months. That’s an inflation-busting increase of 112%.

Despite Roy charging customers so much more, the restaurant is still proving popular with Weatherfield resident but some Corrie viewers have slammed the move.
One said: “Rampant profiteering.”
Another said: “That’s one heck of a price increase Roy” and one branded it “disgusting”.
Fans reckon Roy’s late wife Hayley Cropper, who was played by Julie Hesmondhalgh, 53, will be turning in her grave over his money-grabbing stunt.
One said: “Hayley never would have allowed this.”
Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has even got involved.
The Good Morning Britain presenter shared quote-tweeted a post from one Corrie fan which read: “Inflation is real. Roy Cropper has had to put up the price of Pie, Chips & Mushy Peas by 112% in the last 3 months. #CostOfLivingCrisis.”
Martin wrote: “I’m very disappointed in my ITV colleague Roy. If he keeps this up, he’ll come a cropper.”
Others stuck up for the beloved character, asking how else he would be able to afford his famous duffel bags.
Another pointed out that, judging by Roy’s wardrobe, it was impossible to tell whether it had actually just been three months or if the price increase had occurred over the last 10 years.
However, Roy’s actions has proven he isn’t exactly strapped for cash.
Last month, Roy overheard friend Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) asking boss Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) for an advance of £5000 on her wages.
Roy later came to her rescue, offering to lend her the money himself but she declined it.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
