Coronation Street viewers were not too impressed after they spotted a ‘blunder’ following Paul’s sleazy one-night-stand.
As viewers will know Paul, who’s struggling to come to terms with his Motor neurone disease (MND), ended up drinking at a hotel bar in a recent episode.
There he met an old flame Zac, who apparently worked at the hotel, and the two got drunk, shared a smooch and headed up to his room.

But during Wednesday’s episode (July 5) Paul woke up the following day horrified to learn Zac had stolen Paul’s charity money.
Paul’s sister Gemma and mum Bernie organised a fundraiser at the Bistro that saw them manage to raise £800 to put towards his Motor neurone disease equipment.
But viewers watching the drama unfold on their telly screens on Wednesday said they have spotted a blunder that didn’t make sense.
Rushing to Twitter, plenty claimed Zac was working at the hotel, so it wouldn’t be hard to track him, and the stolen charity money, down.
“Wasn’t Paul’s hook up doing plumbing work for the hotel?? Surely, Debbie will have his details etc.!” said one viewer.
Someone else said: “if Zac was employed by the hotel he will be very easy to track down!”
A third chimed in and penned: “Unsure why he didn’t nick the money in the bar – Paul might’ve thought that anyone could have taken it. Now, he’ll know it was this guy and if he’s doing plumbing work for Debbie’s hotel, they’ll surely have all his details!”
Another viewer raged: “The hotel would have the bloke’s details, he was working there and had the key to the room, not a hard crime to solve.”
On returning home with his tail between his legs, Paul first lied to Billy, telling him he slept on a friend’s sofa.
However, he soon confessed everything and Billy was appalled and distraught.
Later on though, Zach came forward with the money and handed it back to Paul – after he saw an article in the newspaper about the charity fundraiser.
