Courteney Cox admits 'too many face fillers' left Friends star 'messed up a lot'

Courteney Cox has looked back on her use of anti-ageing medications and openly admitted she overdid it and “messed up” with injections.

The Friends star, 58, revealed her usage was like a “domino effect”, saying she didn’t realise at the time how she looked to other people.

Courteney said: “You look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, that looks good’… You don’t realise what it looks like to the outside person.”

She revealed she soon found she had been “doing too many fillers” and “had to have them removed”.

She told Kirbie Johnson and Sarah Tan Christensen on the Gloss Angeles podcast: “Thank God they are removable,” adding: “I messed up a lot and now luckily… I was able to reverse most of that.”

The Scream star went on to reveal how her approach to ageing has changed over the years, saying. “Thinking I was getting older when I was really young, that’s just a bummer, a waste of time.”

In June 2017, she told NewBeauty about her lifestyle: “I was trying so hard to keep up, and I actually made things worse,” and last year told the Sunday Times Style Magazine how she had been trying to “chase” youthfulness “for years”.

She said: “I didn’t realise that, oh s***, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.”

Courteney was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame last month, alongside her 18-year-old daughter Coco Arquette and her longtime Friends pals Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.
