He had been speaking to guest Tim Franklin, who is aiming to run around the world.
But after speaking to Tim, Eamonn confessed running would be out of the question for someone like himself.
“I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven’t recovered from and I can’t run, I can’t walk, I can’t do anything except watch TV and eat,” he said.
He also admitted: “It’s not good, it’s not a good recipe I have to say”.
Holmes turned to Tim and branded him “a good motivation for all of us”, commending him for his challenge to run around the world
Franklin was asked how he keeps his motivation going, as many would struggle to run such long distances.

Tim responded that motivation comes and goes, but developing the habit of running long distances is key.
But he added that commitment to the behaviour is also necessary otherwise, the goals being set will never be met.
“Because you’re gonna go dip and, you know [go through] peaks and troughs,” he explained.
Holmes underwent spinal surgery last September and suffered a nasty fall afterwards.
Eamonn’s wife and former co-presenter Ruth Langsford recently revealed she is battling a mystery illness.
Taking to Instagram, the Loose Woman told loyal fans that she is on a course of antibiotics and being told to steam her voice and face twice a day to clear the airways.
She captioned the post: “Still got the lurgy! So today I’m going again with the hot toddy… someone’s told me to add Turmeric (which I don’t like much!).
“Any other remedies gratefully received!” she quipped.
