EastEnders viewers were left in tears on during the latest visit to Walford as Jay reminisced about wife Lola’s abortion.
Lola has only months to live following a terminal cancer diagnosis, and Ben was stunned when Lola told him she wanted Jay to adopt Lexi after she dies.
After hitting the roof, his mum Kathy and ex-husband Callum all tried to convince him that he could use as much support as he can get, but he defiantly disagreed and met with a lawyer.

The turning point came during an intimate chat with Jay, who admitted that he often thinks about the abortion Lola had, as how they would have a two year old by now to keep Lola’s memory alive.

As he reminisced about the sad time in his life, viewer admitted the scenes reduced them to tears
“Jay speaking sense to Ben they are going to need each other to look after Lexi # EastEnders. Sobbing,” said one viewer.
“Aw jay thinking of the child they should of had he deserves the world #eastenders,” another added.
While a third added: “Omg Jay talking about when Lola had an abortion a few years ago #EastEnders

He went on to tell Ben that he thinks about how his child would now be two years old and what they would look like and how adopting Lexi would leave him with a piece of her.
Ben eventually agrees, but it’s clear he’s not coping and is in a terrible state.
Elsewhere, Chelsea overheard Amy, Nugget, and Denzel discussing the mess that their parents had made, prompting her to step in and support the Brannings.

Denise was touched by Chelsea’s concern, but she made it clear that she had not forgiven her mother.
Later, Chelsea confronted Jack for refusing family therapy.
However, he later had a change of heart and joined Chelsea and the kids at McKlunky’s, where he told a delighted Amy that he would give counselling a try.
In the past, Keanu was feeling down about not being able to afford Albie’s christening, so Mitch suggested he get a few more jobs.
After being turned down by Alfie and Phil, Keanu spoke to Zack about Ravi’s dodgy dealings.
Zack warned him that he should not get involved in Ravi’s underworld, but Keanu, desperate for cash, was swayed by the prospect of making big money.
Ravi agreed to give him a trial run by taking in a dodgy delivery the next day.
