It has been reported that the script for the Peaky Blinders film is now finished, with a potential release date in Spring 2024. When asked who he would like to see come back to the BBC soap, he also shared his opinions about this on the red carpet. “I’d love to see Martin Kemp come back,” he stated.

Martin played BBC villain Steve Owens from 1998 until 2002. Jamie also ruled himself out of the running to be the Christmas murder victim and said “It’s not me, I’m wearing a T-shirt”. This refers to the fact the potential victims were all wearing shirts with the same cuff links from the flash forward scene to the NTAs.

One person who is in the runnings is Jamie’s co-star Danny Walters, who plays Keanu Taylor, who showed off his sleeves on the night and spilled some storyline secrets. Danny explained: “There are 10 other male actors with matching cufflinks on – I think it is quite smart, we’re teasing the audience. But only Christmas will tell.”

Talking about Keanu and Sharon’s future on the soap, Danny spilled: “It’s going to be fiery, on and off, passionate, heartbreaking, a rollercoaster of a ride. Working with Letitia Dean, the queen, she is incredible. We’ve enjoyed it, so I hope the fans also enjoy our journey.” But what else does he hope to be in store for Keanu?

The actor shared: “To be honest, I play things in the moment, with the character right now he’s involved in some complicated and twisted, deep stuff with Sharon and other members of the cast. I don’t know what is going to happen with Keanu but I’m enjoying it.”

Though a big cast death is looming as it has been confirmed that a male character will be murdered this Christmas. Talking about the storyline, he quipped: “Am I worried? Every day I’m worried just about general life, let alone the show.”
