EastEnders fans were left furious on Monday (July 3) as the soap was moved to BBC2 in a last minute schedule change.
The popular soap, which usually airs on BBC1, was switched over to the sister channel make room for the Wimbledon tennis coverage – causing confusion and anger amongst fans.
Taking to Twitter to moan about the move, one person wrote: “When you find out # EastEnders hasn’t been cancelled and has just been moved to BBC2,” posting a gif of a man hyperventilating through a paper bag.

“Gawd frightened the life out of me when I turned on BBC1 and didn’t see me #EastEnders.” Said one fan.
“Had to turn over to BBC2! Who wants to watch tennis instead of #EastEnders?” penned a second.
A third griped: “Tennis was on bbc2 but they move it to bbc1 and move Eastenders to bbc2. Are there people who cannot receive bbc2 #DefundTheBBC #EastEnders.”
Kim was in a state of high anxiety on tonight’s episode on the morning of her sentencing.
Howie and Denise tried to reassure her, but Kim was insistent that she might go to prison.
Privately, Howie told Denise they couldn’t afford counseling for Kim, but she desperately needed it.
Denise handed over £500 from her and Jack’s joint account to fund the sessions. When Jack saw the money was missing, he hit the roof.
At court, nervous Denzel gave his statement, but when the prosecution played footage of the accident, Kim had a full-blown panic attack.
The judge, misunderstanding what was happening, found her in contempt of court and jailed her.
Stacey and Martin fretted about Lily ahead of the family conference; she hadn’t been feeling well.
Martin asked Sonia to examine Lily, and she found that the youngster had high blood pressure.
Later, the midwife signed off a dismayed Lily from school until she had given birth.
Martin tried to reassure Lily that things would be okay, but she was worried about missing out on school work and being bored at home.
Elaine asked the Knight girls to be her bridesmaids, but they weren’t keen.
George advised her not to push it with them, and a downbeat Elaine confided in Kathy about her disappointment.
After a pep talk from Kathy, Elaine decided to take the pressure off everyone by delaying her wedding plans.
Lola’s loved ones gathered at the salon on what would have been her 27th birthday, and emotional Denise unveiled a plaque on Lola’s chair, dedicated to their lost friend.
