Emma Stone discovered she suffered from disease after filming fake orgasm scene

It was meant to be a hilarious coming-of-age comedy, but for Emma Stone filming Easy A turned out to be a life-changing experience.

The Oscar-winning actress, who played Olive Penderghast in the movie, has revealed that while shooting a scene in which her character simulates having sex, she suffered an asthma attack.

While filming a scene where Olive simulates sex with a friend to make it look like they are sleeping together, Stone experienced the unexpected attack.

She said: “I had a little asthma attack, without any prior knowledge that I had asthma, during the scene where we had to jump up and down for hours and hours screaming and yelling on the bed,” Stone revealed to MTV during the film’s promotion.

“Oh, for the love, I can’t even simulate sex without dying!”

Stone recalled the incident as “humiliating” as it happened early on in production, with her subsequently fearing the entire crew would judge her, much like in high school.

“[It] was humiliating, because it was the second day of shooting,” Stone explained.

“Here’s what it’s going to be like the whole movie, as I’m breathing into an oxygen tank.

“The crew was like, ‘She’s going to be a real blast. Wow. Amazing. A 20-year-old having an asthma attack.'”

Despite the embarrassing incident, Stone went on to have a successful acting career, culminating in her Academy Award win for Best Actress in 2017 for La La Land.

During a recent interview on the Graham Norton show, Emma, 34, also revealed another issue she suffered on set while filming Crazy, Stupid, Love with co-star Ryan Gosling.

The pair were asked about their failed attempt to remake the iconic lifting scene from Dirty Dancing.

That’s when Stone shared a traumatic experience from her childhood that left her with a phobia of being lifted over someone’s head.

“When I was about seven years old, I was in gymnastics class, and I was on these parallel bars that were about 6 feet off the ground.

“I felt myself beginning to tip forward and I put my arms like this, and fell six feet to the ground,” Stone revealed.

Stone didn’t realize the impact of the incident until filming, when she was asked to perform the risky move.

Gosling added: “I never had this happen, but I imagine if a possum fell out of a tree and tried to scratch your eyes out, it would be something similar.”
