Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ paternity twist as they say Mack’s not Chloe’s baby daddy

Emmerdale fans are sure they’ve figured out an upcoming paternity twist, saying that Mackenzie Boyd is not the father of Chloe Harris’s newborn son.

Viewers watched this week as Mack (Lawrence Robb) said goodbye to his son, born from a one-night-stand with new mum Chloe (Jessie Elland).

And they now believe that the child’s paternity will come up again in the future, when it will be revealed that Mack actually isn’t the father.

They reckon that something will happen to the baby that will mean Mack will be needed for some sort of medical help, when it will then be confirmed the baby’s dad is someone else.

One person tweeted: “Still don’t believe he’s the dad. Mack actually makes Charity more human.”

A second theorised: “So obvious that the baby is going to turn out not to be his. Baby will probably be ill and on checking blood type, they will find he isn’t the father. I suspect Nate.”

Another agreed: “I predict this child will need blood and this will prove that Mack is not the baby’s father!”

While a fourth said: “Felt heartbroken for Mack. I’m not convinced it’s Mackenzie’s son.”

Emmerdale fans don’t think Mack is Chloe’s baby daddy

Mack slept with Chloe last year after an argument with his now-wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), with only a few people knowing about it.

Chloe gave birth to her son during Mack and Charity’s wedding, with Charity still in the dark about the one-night-stand.

On Wednesday (May 3), Mack met up with Chloe in secret after finding out she would be moving to Scotland the next day, and he finally held baby Reuben for the first time.

However when the baby started to cry he gave him to Chloe and walked away, clearly emotional that he had to say goodbye.

Charity is set to discover the truth about Mack and Chloe

Viewers have been speculating for months that Mack isn’t the baby’s father, though, especially as nothing is ever that straight forward in soap land.

But fans are set for even more drama, as new spoilers revealed Mack will begin fantasising about leading a double life involving Charity and his son.

And it seems like the health woes for little Reuben that fans have been theorising might come true, as Chloe learns her son might have a bleed on his brain.

The following drama will lead to Charity finally discovering the truth – or at least the truth for the moment.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV
