Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden seen with new girlfriend after split from Charley Webb

Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden has a new beau following his split from his former Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb.

The actor, best known for playing David Metcalfe in the soap opera, is reported to be dating high-profile fitness trainer, Heather Stanley. The gym bunny charges £40 an hour and encourages clients to “Leave the past behind, focus on what you can do now”.

The loved-up pair were spotted in public walking hand-in-hand through London like “honeymooners”. The couple were sighted multiple times before Matthew and Charley announced the end of their marriage, according to The Sun.

It is unclear how the Matthew and Heather met, but a source said things are going very well for the lovebirds. The unnamed intel said, “Heather was wary about getting too involved with Matthew too soon, but is head over heels.

“She was trying not to be seen with him, standing away from the stage door when he emerged from show rehearsals and shows. But now the cat is out of the bag.”

However, the Watford-based woman isn’t over the moon that she’s experiencing the fallout from Matthew’s marriage breaking up. The source continued, “She’s not happy about being thrust into the conversation of his celebrity marriage breakdown.”

The night Charley and Matt publicly announced their split, Matthew and Heather were seen getting close and personal on a busy street in London. As referenced by the source, 43-year-old Matthew was likely leaving the theatre of the musical he is currently starring in at London’s West End.

The star is playing Buddy the Elf, in holiday favourite Elf the Musical, based on the 2003 film of the same name. The musical follows a human raised by Santa’s elves, travelling to America to mee this biological father.

The role was announced around the same time Matthew made his return to the stage. Announcing the split via Instagram, Charley wrote, “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.

“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time.”
