Fans have gone wild after a rock legend joined Sam Ryder for a surprise performance during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Spaceman singer, who came second during the contest in 2022, was joined onstage by none other than Queen drummer Roger Taylor for a special interval performance.
Roger could be seen behind his iconic drum kit, adorned with his beard and glasses logo, while Sam stood on top of a podium in one of his dazzling trademark jumpsuits.

Together they performed Sam’s new song Mountain, surrounded by a talented troupe of dancers, with the duo delighting audiences in both the arena and at home.
Fans were left stunned by the surprise appearance from Roger Taylor, with one viewer taking to social media saying: “

Sam’s return to the Eurovision stage follows a stellar year for the musician, which has seen him release his debut album There’s nothing by Space, Man! which reached the top of the UK album charts.
He has performed for more than 11 million people at the BBC New Year’s Eve concert, along with receiving a nomination for Breakthrough Artist at the BRIT Awards and performing sell-out gigs across the UK.
Sam also joined Queen onstage to perform their hit Somebody to Love at the tribute concert for the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at Wembley Stadium in 2022.
The singer was just one of many Eurovision icons who returned to the stage to perform during the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Grand Final, including Ukranian Eurovision artists Go_A, Jamala(2016), Tina Karoland Verka Serduchka who performed amazing sets during the contestant flag parade at the start of the show.
That’s not all, as Eurovision stars Mahmood (Italy 2019 & 2022), Netta (Israel 2018), Daði Freyr (Iceland 2020 & 2021), Cornelia Jakobs (Sweden 2022), Duncan Laurence (Netherlands 2019) and Liverpool’s very own Eurovision icon Sonia performed hits by artists from the city as part of the Liverpool Song Book.
Their performances come ahead of viewers across the world deciding the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, with the winning country set to be announced later this evening.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be broadcast live from Liverpool on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. Semi-Final 1 is broadcast Tuesday 9 May at 8pm, Semi-Final 2 is broadcast Thursday 11 May at 8pm, and the Grand Final is broadcast on Saturday 13 May at 8pm.
