Eurovision set in paranormal hotspot with string of eerie sightings

Eurovision is being staged in a paranormal hotspot. There have been a string of reports of eerie sightings just metres from its base in Liverpool.

The Albert Dock area nearby is rumoured to be haunted by an old man who runs into oncoming traffic even been claimed a phantom cruise liner has been seen on the water.

In the past, some workers at the city’s docks have even been scared to work at nights because they fear the area is haunted.

The claims are likely to leave show chiefs fearing a spirit could appear during the grand final on Saturday in front of 160million TV viewers.

An insider said: “You always have to expect the unexpected when it’s Eurovision, but a ghost would really give people the willies.

“Eurovision is also getting help from TV legend Paul O’Grady after his death in March. The presenter filmed a special advert promoting the contest for the BBC.”

A spokesman said: “This is one of the last things Paul filmed before he passed away, and his appearance in the film was agreed with the blessing of his family and friends.

“The video also features actor Ricky Tomlinson as his Brookside character Bobby Grant.”

Despite the overwhelming feeling that a ghost might rear its ugly head and completely steal the attention away from Alesha Dixon and Hannah Waddingham, believe it or not, even if it does show up, it won’t be the weirdest thing of the evening.

In possibly, the most outright ridiculous performance, in Eurovision history, Croatia’s ,Let 3, absolutely stole the show.

Dressed in wacky sparkly outfits, they had the entire arena rocking with their hit song ‘Mama šč’.

The fans in attendance couldn’t believe their eyes as a sinister black figure, armed with rocket launchers so big, they could possibly fire from the venue to Anfield stadium, approached the band with an evil look in his eye.

Bizarrely, seemingly the only way to deter the villain in question from deploying his weapon, was for the band to strip down to their underwear and deliver some powerful instrumentals on the electric guitar.

Luckily, this seemed to have the desired effect, as the song came to an end without any explosions.

As the spectators took in what they’d seen, a perplexed Rylan Clarke, said simply: “This is Eurovision.”
