“She started to dance on her own at the bar on her own and she started ordering more drinks.

“And as I have the responsibility, I can’t keep serving people like that, she was way past her legal limit and I had to say ‘Sorry, I can’t serve you anymore, and I’m sorry you can’t have your date’.

“That wasn’t very good, it did get aired, but she was so drunk at the beginning of the date, we couldn’t have her here.

“You don’t know what could happen, she could take it, but I couldn’t.”

Fred also revealed some home truths about his ITV co-star Gordon Ramsay.

He told us: “Gordon is so uptight, he always has to be in control and show the professional side to him, but he needs to relax and cool down and have fun.

“Gordon is just too Gordon Ramsay for his own good and that’s the funny thing because you have chat and he can’t get out of himself. He’s like that for real.

“Then on the other side, he wants to scare us and when he’s driving especially, but one day almost had us in a ditch, he wants to go fast and do this and that, it’s hilarious and he is really like how you see on screen.”

Fred also shared how Gino D’Acampo “almost died” when shooting for the trio’s popular ITV show, Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip.

The TV star said: “The worst one was Gino in Mexico, he almost died but he bumped into the RV in the go-kart he was in.

“It was so close, if his head hit the bummer he would have been finished, so he was very lucky.

“I didn’t realise it happened when it did, I didn’t know because I was driving and there was a lot of dust so I couldn’t see what was going on behind me.

“But I stopped for Gordon and I was worried for him as he went into a wall, but I should have carried on because there was no real problem.”
