GBBO chaos as Coleen Nolan asks Paddy McGuinness 'what the hell is that?' after disaster

Paddy McGuinness suffered a major baking disaster during his stint on Great British Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.

The 49-year-old presenter went up against Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, comedian Ellie Taylor and actor Joe Thomas during Sunday’s (April 9) episode of the Channel 4 show.

The famous contestants are asked to make Jaffa cakes, take the rough with the smooth in the pastry Technical, and render their home towns in biscuit for their showstoppers.

He couldn’t count on moral support from fellow bakers as Coleen exclaimed: “What the hell is that?” when she spotted his questionable bake.

However, he didn’t give up and scooped up the dough from the floor and started again.

Earlier in the series, Friends star David Schwimmer earned himself an elusive handshake from judge Paul Hollywood for his tofu pie.

The move sent the actor over the edge as he told viewers he knew how special those handshakes were.

He was then awarded top spot in the blind taste test for his macarons as they were better than the other competitors’ attempts.

“I think I just got lucky. I’m really happy and exhausted. I think… I’m going to go to bed,” he said after winning that round.

Later, David was crowned Star Baker.

“What a lovely, lovely thing to do. I’ve been watching for many years,” he said.

“It doesn’t get better than this. I’m inspired now to do more, I really am.”

Great British Bake Off airs Sundays at 7:40pm on Channel 4
