Good Morning Britain viewers left disgusted after host Adil Ray told his ITV co-star Kate Garraway that she “smells of fish”.
On Thursday’s episode (April 27), the two hosts were talking about pet owners when Adil suggested Kate smelled like she owned fish.
In response to this, ITV viewers stormed to Twitter to jump to Kate’s defence after Adil had scrunched his nose up and sniffed her.

One fan wrote: “It’s a wonder Kate Garraway didn’t punch Adil Ray on the nose for saying he thought she smelled of fish !!!!!??? #GMB @GMB”
A second added: “@GMB Adil is so unprofessional. Viewers don’t want to see him sniffing Kate & saying she smells of fish. Has he finally lost it?”
While a third penned: “@GMB Adil Ray says pet owners smell. Then he sniffs Kate and implies she has a fish. Adil, you would never know I had a pet as I’m spotless. Some cultures see dogs as filthy…are you having a dig under the guise of comedy?”
“Did I really just see that !!!!???? Did ADIL RAY go close to Kate Garraway {wrinkle his nose & frown} and say “Fish?” “Haddock?” #GMB @GMB,” a fourth shared.
A fifth put: “What a disgusting thing Adil Ray said to Kate this morning. Suggesting she smelled of fish was misogyny and bullying at its most obvious to millions of people. She clearly told him to stop saying people smelled but he kept on going. Horrible behaviour. #GMB.”
“@GMB perhaps it’s time to move your male presenter to another role. Embarrassed Kate was smelt by him and a remark shows he is unfit,” another tweeted.
Another fan added: “@GMB did Adil just suggest Kate smells of fish. total partridge”
Whilst another was baffled by Adil’s antics and commented: “As if he just sniffed @kategarraway and said fish! #gmb”
