Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, has won her court case after she was accused of causing a ski collision in 2016.
The Hollywood actress has won her legal battle against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, 76, who allegedly accused Paltrow of skiing “out of control” at a Utah ski slope.
According to Sanderson, Paltrow collided with him on the slopes and was left with “permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement.”

Paltrow’s name has since been cleared after it took the jury two hours and 20 minutes to find that Sanderson was the one to blame for the incident.
A judge ruled in favour of Paltrow following the trial, which saw jurors hear testimonies from Paltrow, Sanderson, family members and expert witnesses.
The actress was awarded compensatory damages of one dollar.
It comes after Paltrow went on a family holiday to Utah with her then-boyfriend Brad Falchuk – who’s now her husband after marrying in 2018 – and his children in 2016.
While Sanderson, similarly, visited the ski resort with a friend.
Sanderson told the court how he thought he was “going to die” after he collided with Paltrow.

The retired optometrist initially filed for damages in January 2019, seeking $3.1 million (£2.5m)
However, a judge reduced the sum to $300,000 (£242k) in compensation for the injuries he sustained.
He confessed to the jury: “I just remember everything was great, and then I heard something I’ve never heard at a ski resort, and that was a blood-curdling scream.
“And then, boom, it was like somebody was out of control and going to hit a tree and was going to die.”
He added: “That’s what I [remembered] until I was hit.’ ‘I got hit in my back so hard… right at my shoulder blades, and the fists and the poles were right there at the bottom of my shoulder blades, serious, serious smack,’ he added. ‘Never been hit that hard.'”
Paltrow took to the stand to say she felt “very sorry” for Sanderson.
However, she denied any wrongdoing and re-iterated in her testimony multiple times that she had been the “victim” of the crash.
