Holly Willoughby showed signs of “anger and frustration” during her emotional statement following Phillip Schofield’s explosive scandal, an expert has said.
Last week, the TV presenter, 42, took some time off over the half-term period to escape the scandal surrounding This Morning.
The mum-of-three previously told fans that she had been left “hurt” by Phil’s “lies” as she claimed her former best friend and co-star had concealed his affair with a younger ITV colleague from her.

On Monday (June 5), the host returned to the programme for the first time since the news broke and delivered an emotional statement as she fronted the show beside Josie Gibson.
Holly kicked off the programme by telling viewers she was left “shaken, troubled, let down and worried” in the wake of the disgraced presenter’s departure.
However, the broadcaster failed to mention the full name of her former co-host as she looked forward to the “next chapter.”
She said: “You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our full of love and support to someone who was not telling the truth” and added that it is a “lot to process.”
Looking ahead, Holly said: “What unites us all now is our desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone.”
The mum-of-three went on to thank fans for their support and says that the This Morning team will “continue to work hard.”
Now, speaking on behalf of Slingo, body language buff Darren Stanton has exclusively told Daily Star that the This Morning host struggled to hold back her tears “because of the pressure, rather than the situation.”
When asked what Holly’s body language conveyed during her statement, Darren explained: “Holly’s tears were authentic and she was trying to hold back genuine emotion.
“Even through we saw tears, I think she was crying because of the pressure, rather than the situation.
“I could see Holly was genuinely upset to be there without Phillip and we saw Holly tearing up as she spoke when Josie joined her.

“However she was quick to try and compose herself, suggesting she was masking sadness, but trying to convey to the studio and viewers at home that she was ok.
“She definitely was in an emotional state of frustration, anxiety and perhaps a little bit of anger,” he concluded.
