An insider told Daily Mail: “The fallout with Phillip has been going on for quite some time.

“For Holly there’s also a degree of her becoming concerned that some of the scandals connected to Phillip are damaging her reputation.

““She’s been seeking guidance from (her husband) Dan (Baldwin) and ITV on that front. This hasn’t been about the last few weeks, but a number of months.

“She’s worked so hard to build her own reputation, so she can’t risk Phillip dragging her down.”

GB News star Dan Wootton has also revealed that he is convinced Holly and Phillip’s reign as the golden couple of British television “appears to be coming to an end.”

He said: “I have been reporting on the growing sense of unease about Phillip’s role on the legendary daytime show since 2019, following feuds with a succession of former A-list co-stars including Amanda Holden, Ruth Langsford and Fern Britton.”

It comes after The Sun reported that the pair are “barely speaking”.

A source told the publication “Should he leave, she’d want to stay.”

“Behind the scenes their relationship has cooled. Before there would be a lot of banter and camaraderie off-camera but that has dwindled.”

It comes after Phillip’s brother’s recent court case which accused him of sexual assault with a minor.

Timothy Schofield, 54, was charged with 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019.

A jury at Exeter Crown Court found him guilty of all counts with a majority of 10-2 after more than five-and-a-half hours of deliberation.
