'I made £10k stripping naked on camera when I weighed 60 stone – now I'm unrecognisable'

My 3000lb Family star Casey King has exposed the wages he received on the TLC reality show, after raking in a whopping £10,000 stripping off for the cameras.

Casey weighed around 845lbs (60 stone) at his heaviest, and found clothes so restricting that he preferred to sit around naked all day, playing video games in his bedroom.

And after getting stuck in the shower for 11 hours, Casey was forced to use an outdoor trough to bathe in.

Now the star has dropped an incredible 41 stone and looks totally transformed after weight loss surgery, which TLC helped to pay for.

He said the bizarre filming experience actually felt “normal” after so many years of being more or less housebound due to his weight.

“[Meeting the production crew] was literally, handshakes, hellos, then ‘Will you get naked so we can film you?’” Casey revealed exclusively to Daily Star.

“It was great. I don’t know the amount of rationalisation, or what I was telling myself, but I got more mad that they wanted me to get up early than I did that they wanted to film me naked. It was just so normal. It’s so bad to say that.”

Delving into his wages for appearing in the 11-episode series, Casey explained: “They paid us, for the first season – the only season – $1,000 (£837) per episode.

“There are 11 episodes of our show, we’re only in six of them, but we still got $11,000 (£9,200). It was nice, I still have that money saved up because I never used it.

“Then they pay you a one time fee to film at your house in case anything breaks, a location fee, of $1,000.”

Along with his wages from the show, TLC splashed out for half of Casey’s bariatric surgery – which cost a whopping $67,000 (£56,000).

He said: “TLC pay for half of the surgery. There’s a thing through the hospital called charity care for when you don’t have insurance and I didn’t have any, so a third of the surgery was covered by the hospital themselves.

“They have some kind of agreement with TLC, they shout [the hospital] out at the end of the show and give them credit.”

In a terrifying clerical error, Casey was sent the eye-watering bill for his treatment twice before TLC fixed things up.

He went on: “Now, we were really stupid and ignorant and didn’t read the contracts. They would have paid us for gas. They would have paid us for all the food we bought on the way out [to the production studio], but we never saved any of those receipts.

“I probably could have gotten another $1,500 to $2,000 if we included all the gas to drive to the production studio, all the meals that me and my dad had to get. But we didn’t keep track of that and we just call that a loss.”

The star continued: “Honestly, they could have paid me nothing and I would have been okay doing the show. The surgery changed my life forever, and I’m very happy to have had it.

“I’m friends with a bunch of people from the production crew on Facebook and I still talk to some of them. They were nice people.”

Casey can now be found on YouTube and Instagram.
