I’m A Celebrity… South Africa star Jordan Banjo has responded after being “mugged off” by Amir Khan just minutes into the new series.
Just minutes into the new series, fans of the Ant and Dec-fronted reality show tuned in as a brand new spin-off version of the hit ITV program got underway last night (April 25).
The show features a cast of famous faces who have previously competed in the jungle-based competition, this time heading to Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa, to test their mettle in the wilderness once again.

But it was not long before the first clash of egos emerged.
During their first meeting, former boxing champion Amir Khan admitted on camera in a confessional moment that he had no idea who Jordan was.
Taking to Instagram, Jordan reshared a post made on Instagram by the I’m A Celebrity team, which quoted Amir saying: “I know he’s someone famous, but I don’t know who he is!” before asking: “Do you know his name?”
Jordan added a caption alongside the post, writing: “Mugged off by @amirkingkhan…” and adding a string of crying laughing emojis.
Jordan’s sister, Talisa Banjo, also weighed in, sending her brother a text message which read: “Why is Amir Khan being muggy,” alongside a string of boxing glove emojis.
While Jordan replied with a bunch of crying laughing emojis, Talisa had a more aggressive response, promising to “box him up.”
Jordan’s fans and social media users were quick to share their own reactions to the incident, with many taking to Twitter to express their disbelief and amusement at the situation.

Sharing a screengrab of his messages, Jordan wrote on his Instagram Story: “Little sister to the rescue,” adding more crying laughing emojis.
Jordan had previously shared how he was watching the first episode of the series, posting a sweet black and white image of him cradling his newborn son.
The 30-year-old and his wife Naomi made a joint post on Instagram on Saturday announcing the arrival of their third child and revealing the child’s unique name, Atreus Funso Banjo.
Jordan gushed: “I’m so proud of you @naomibanjo, my angel, my wife and the most incredible mum to our children, thank you for our 3 beautiful children, a gift I can never repay, I love you.”
