The star continued: “I’m just thinking, ‘I’m probably really going to humiliate myself in front of the whole of the UK tomorrow’ – great,” before giving a thumbs up to the camera.

Elaborating on how difficult she found the upcoming challenge, the actress added: “The trial that I did was so bad, so horrendous that I genuinely don’t think that I could do it again. It was awful.”

Helen originally took part in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2012 and admitted she was determined to be more successful this time around as she didn’t want to let her daughter, Matilda, down.

Speaking during an appearance on Loose Women, the blonde beauty explained that she showed the seven-year-old a few clips from her first jungle stint and shared the hilarious reaction she received.

The former soap star told the panel: “I YouTubed a few clips and she said, ‘Mummy you were rubbish! You were awful!’ So I had that pressure, I couldn’t let my little girl down when I was there.

“I’m naturally a wimp. I’m scared of heights, spiders, snakes, you name it I don’t like anything like that. But I had to think ‘I can’t let her down’.”

When asked if having children helped push her to try and do better, Helen agreed: “Yeah definitely. Especially knowing Matilda was at home, she would’ve been very disappointed if I didn’t do it.”
