Jennifer Lopez was forced to deny co-star romance rumours after raunchy sex scenes

Jennifer Lopez has faced speculation her marriage to husband Ben Affleck is facing difficulties, and it’s not the first time the star has been forced to deny rumours about her romantic life.

The actress was also forced to dismiss rumours of a relationship with her younger co-star after passionate sex scenes had fans convinced a romance was happening behind the scenes.

In 2015 after Jennifer starred alongside actor Ryan Guzman in thriller The Boy Next Door which saw her play a teacher who started a sexual relationship with a 19-year-old pupil.

The film featured some raunchy sex scenes between the pair, with Jennifer then forced to deny that she and Ryan were dating.

In press promotion for the 2015 film, Jennifer dismissed rumours that she was dating Ryan, who is 18 years younger than her.

Speaking to HuffPost Live at the time, Jennifer said: “There’s enough stuff that goes on, then to be making stuff up… We don’t need to make anything up.

“The truth is, it’s fine for us to say, ‘No, we’re not dating’ because we’re not. If we were dating and we didn’t want to say it then we’d be like, ‘We don’t want to talk about it’.

“You can handle it in any way that feels good to you. At the end of the day you are still a human being, you’re a person and then you have to lay down at night put your head on a pillow and feel good about what you’re doing or what you did.

“Whatever that is for that person in that moment is what they should do.”

Ryan also dismissed rumours of a romance with his co-star as he added: “For me it was just like ‘why is everybody asking all of these questions?’

“No one was interested in me, not even a couple months ago.

“It’s crazy and I don’t think either of us came in wanting fame or anything.

“Now that I’m starting to get some notoriety, and now that we’re hanging out, and having fun, and just enjoying each other’s time while promoting the film, people are speculating and creating their own stories for us without us even speaking.”

Jennifer is currently facing romance gossip again as rumours continue that she and husband Ben Affleck, who wed last year, are facing trouble.

The couple married in July last year almost 20 years after their original engagement which saw the couple rekindle their romance in 2020.

At the premiere for Jennifer’s new film Mother, the couple appeared tense with the pair looking to be having fierce words with each other whilst on the red carpet.

A source close to the couple has since dismissed the speculation of a marriage breakdown and revealed Ben left his wife on the carpet to meet some of their respective kids whilst Jennifer continued with the promotion.
