As the star celebrates her 43rd birthday today (July 10), Daily Star has delved into the secrets behind her remarkable transformation, revealing the fitness challenges she conquered, her mental health breakthroughs, and the diet overhaul that fueled her success.
Fitness Challenge
In the pursuit of shedding post-baby pounds, Jessica Simpson embarked on an incredible exercise regime that kickstarted her transformational weight loss.
And believe it or not, one of her secret weapons was the simple act of walking
After giving birth to her adorable daughter, Birdie Mae, Jessica wasted no time and laced up her sneakers to hit the pavement.
At the beginning of her journey, she set herself a modest goal of conquering 6,000 steps each day but quickly upped the ante, smashing through 14,000 steps daily.
The star turned her walks into a family affair, often taking walks with her husband and three adorable kids.
“I call it determined patience. I believe in setting small goals for yourself, because in my life and how I’ve done it, there’s easy ways to throw in the towel and just feel like it’s impossible,” she said.
“So, the small goals for me are what helped me achieve the main goal,” Jessica said on an appearance on The Real.
The star admits she only spent a mere three days a week exercising.
Jessica rendezvoused with her trainers once a week for three hours focusing on different muscle groups.
By incorporating resistance exercises into her routine, she managed to torch those unwanted pounds and sculpt her entire physique.
Mental Health
When it comes to her stunning transformation, Jessica Simpson proves that the path to a healthier, fitter self is more than just counting calories.
Mental well-being took center stage in her weight loss journey, as she prioritized a positive mindset and banished the oppressive scale from her life.
In a recent interview with TODAY, Jessica candidly shared her empowering perspective.
She revealed that she no longer obsesses over the number on the scale, choosing instead to focus on how she feels. “I have no idea how much I weigh,” she boldly declared.
“I just want to feel good and be able to zip my pants up. If I don’t, I have another size. I have every size,” she said.
“I’ve really tried my hardest to not let that define me.”
Diet Overhaul
Fuelling her transformation, Jessica adopted a balanced approach to eating.
Three nutritious, protein-packed meals and two delectable snacks—like almonds—became her daily routine.
Rather than cheat days, she savoured cheat meals throughout the week, ensuring her favourite foods never felt off-limits.
Simpson followed a diet plan known as the Body Reset Diet for six months that was developed by her well-known personal trainer Harley Pasternak.
Simpson’s trainer also shared that getting a good seven hours of sleep every night was a key factor in Simpson’s weight loss.
