Kerry Katona slams ‘tainted sh***’ This Morning after telling Holly to ‘walk away’

Kerry Katona has weighed in on claims of “toxicity” at ITV’s This Morning.

She branded the show as “tainted and sh***” and called for it to be “revamped”.

Mum-of-five, Kerry, 42, argued it has been “tarnished” by toxicity claims.

Kerry wrote in her New Magazine column: “They need to revamp the show.

“It’s tarnished and tainted and it’s s****.”

Speaking about Holly’s return to This Morning Kerry said: “I thought Holly’s speech about Phil on This Morning last week was an absolute load of sh*te.

“It was awful. I felt it was so staged, so rehearsed, so heartless, so soulless. People want realness.”

“No one believes Holly anymore.

“I have nothing against her at all, but as a viewer, I just don’t think it’s working any more. If it was up to me, I’d like Amanda Holden and Rylan to present it.”

In a previous interview with The Sun, the Atomic Kitten star admitted the “fallout” from her This Morning interview in 2008 made her feel like she’d “killed somebody”.

Kerry said: “I’m not jumping on the bandwagon or putting Phillip down.

“What he’s done, it is wrong, and I know there’s a lot more to come, but for me, it’s the overall care with people, the snobbery at ITV.

“I’ve definitely got PTSD from that interview, 100 per cent, because of the fallout, the aftermath of it. You’d think I’d killed somebody!”

This comes after former show host Phillip Schofield, 61, left the show after rumours of a growing rift between himself and Holly Willoughby, 42.

Shortly afterwards, Phillip stepped down from ITV altogether due to the bombshell revelation that he had an affair with a much younger colleague while still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe.

Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, 42, has called for This Morning to be “revamped”, suggesting that the ITV show has been “tarnished” by toxicity claims.

OK! Magazine also reported that Kerry said: “They need to revamp the show. It’s tarnished and tainted and it’s sh***

“All these new relationships with Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson are just not believable.”

The claims come after former show presenter Phillip Schofield, 61, departed the show following reports of a growing rift between himself and ex-co-host Holly Willoughby, 42.

Holly returned to our screens last week to issue a statement on Phillip’s exit.

Talking about this, Kerry said: “I thought Holly’s speech about Phil on This Morning last week was an absolute load of sh***. It was awful.

“I felt it was so staged, so rehearsed, so heartless, so soulless. People want realness. No one believes Holly any more.

“I’d have more respect for her if she left This Morning and Dancing On Ice and said, ‘Do you know what, it’s time for me to walk away.’”
