Love Island 2023 return date 'revealed' for summer series – and it's weeks away

The brand new series of Love Island will reportedly be back on TV screens in just eight weeks.

The hit ITV2 dating programme has only just wrapped its 2023 winter series which took place in South Africa and saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan be crowned champs.

They beat fellow competitors Tom Clare & Samie Elishi, Lana Jenkins & Ron Hall, and Shaq Muhammad & Tanya Manhenga to the prestigious crown.

But apparently the sexy sun-soaked show, fronted by Maya Jama, will be coming back sooner than we think.

Love Island is back on TV screens soon

So those waiting for their Love Island fix don’t have to wait too much longer, as according to insiders it will be returning to screens from June 5 for eight weeks – but the dates have yet to be confirmed by ITV.

A source also told The Sun that show bosses have already got a batch of sexy singletons lined-up ready to take part.

The insider said: “[They] will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks. It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started.”

The show will apparently start on June 5

It’s been reported that as the series will run for eight weeks, those in the villa who reach the final could be in the villa for two months.

What’s more, Maya is back to front to the show too – and is apparently “chomping at the bit to get to work on this series too.

“Having her on board has given Love Island a real boost and it’s expected that ratings will soar.”

A second source also added: “The dates have not been officially confirmed.”

The new Love Island cast will be reportedly returning to the rustic £2.57million villa used during the last summer series which boasts an outdoor kitchen, 20 metre pool, and gym area.

The last group of contestants to visit the Majorcan villa included Gemma Owen, Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri, Andrew Le Page and Indiyah Polack.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned winners of the main event last year.

Daily Star have contacted ITV for comment.
