Love Island fans were quick to notice the cooler temperatures during the first episode of the ITV show and wondered if the islanders were “cold”.
The popular dating programme returned for a brand new series on Monday night, leaving die-hard fans on the edges of their seats.
But as the new season, which is currently being filmed in South Africa, kicked off, fans spotted that the contestants looked cold and appeared to head straight to the fire pit to keep warm when the sun started to set.
Sharing their thoughts on the windy scenes and the shivering contestants, Love Island fans jumped onto Twitter.
One viewer said: “It’s so windy they could have done it next month.”
Another penned: “Looool mate it looks cold there.”
A third chimed: “Imagine having to pretend it’s not mad windy and you don’t want to reach for a wee cardi.”
While a fourth added: “Loool why did they use a location that is so windy, poor girls are freezing in those bikinis.”
Later on the show, new presenter Maya Jama headed back into the villa to deliver some unexpected news to the contestants.
But the noise of the wind was clearly heard in the background, forcing Maya to also point it out before sharing her bombshell revelations to the islanders.
For the first time in show’s history viewers got the chance to pick the first bombshell to enter the show.
Near the end of Monday night’s show, Maya revealed that 23 year old Tom from Barnsley was granted with the opportunity to enter the villa after securing more votes than 25-year-old Ellie from Norwich, who was also competing for a place.
Tom was tasked with choosing one of the islanders to couple up with, leaving one of the male islanders single.
Sharing their thoughts on Tom, fans headed over to Twitter once again.
One viewer said: “I feel like I see at least ten men who look like Tom every time I leave the house.”
“Tom’s about to shake things up and I love how the girls are grinning like Cheshire cats,” another shared.
