Love Island fans weren’t happy as the contestants introduced their sex code words for this series.
During the morning debrief, Tanya Manhenga told the girls in the villa about her time with partner Shaq Muhammad in bed, after the pair were shown kissing.
She told the girls that the couple had a “football warm up” but explained that she “wasn’t ready for the game yet.”

Olivia Hawkins, who quickly jumped onto the code words, asked Tanya if “both players had warmed up,” but Tanya revealed that only one of them had.
Despite the girls’ excitement over some apparent sexual action in the villa, fans couldn’t stand the introduction of the metaphors after years of them being used in previous series’ of the show.
“‘Me and Shaq had a football warm up…’, Oh no, the football analogies from last season are back #loveisland,” one tweeted.
Another laughed: “Pls no more analogies just say you fiddled with his willy #loveisland.”
A third started reminiscing: “Ugh this is why I miss earlier seasons where they don’t do these dumb analogies #loveisland”
While a fourth wrote: “I hate these sex euphemisms. Never make sense #loveisland”
Another suggested: “I’m tired of the codes, can we start just saying what we did this season? #loveisland”
The euphemisms started in season four of Love Island, when Kem Cetinay, Chris Hughes and the rest of the boys would discusses “doing bits” to describe their sexual endeavours.
In 2019, the islanders referred to sex as the “danger zone,” while contestants in 2021 used British qualifications as a metaphor for what they got up to the night before, with ‘Entry level’ being “just a snog”, ‘NVQ1’ was a “cheeky finger”, ‘NVQ2’ was “oral” and ‘NVQ3’ was full on penetrative sex.
Last year, winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu introduced the beauty salon during the girls’ morning briefings, as the girls explained which “beauty treatments” they received under the sheets.
