Love Island star banned from wearing bikini by bosses after being ‘singled out’ on show

Love Island’s Summer Botwe has recalled feeling “singled out” by producers when they banned her from wearing a bikini.

The series eight star was a Casa Amor bombshell and was forced to wear a swimsuit when all of the other girls going into Casa were allowed to wear bikinis.

Talking about her entrance, Summer exclusively explained: “They wouldn’t let me wear the bikini that I wanted to walk in, which was annoying because I wanted to look 10/10.

“You had to send them three options when you’re n lockdown with your chaperone and they chose the one I didn’t want to wear.

“It didn’t look bad but I was the only one in a swimsuit, and I just felt like ‘Why am I being singled out here?'”

The stunning TV contestant also shared the hardships of being a Casa Amor bombshell.

She told us: “I think when you go into Casa, you are going to be a villain regardless of what happens because you have to break up a couple.

“And with that happening you’re already a villain and when you come out things that are said the public will take and twist and change and have their own opinion on it.

“As a Casa person, we aren’t public favourites and unfortunately, the couple I broke up are a very strong couple and have a very big social media presence.

“So, I think the backlash and death threats came from their fans.”

Summer added: “Realistically, those people are just trolls, they haven’t even got a profile picture, they have two followers, they don’t know where I live. There’s not much they can do to me it’s just mind over matter half the time.

“They just want a reaction most of the time.”

The TV star also received backlash from fans when she referred to Dami Hope’s manhood as a “grower” on a podcast.

This resulted in fans attacking her online as well as his girlfriend Indiyah Polack wading in on the conversation.

Talking about this, Summer said: “At this point, now I understand both sides, but I think from doing podcasts and things like that after coming out, you have to be careful who you are going on with as people don’t always have your best intentions at heart.”

“If I slowed down for a minute and could go back and change those things I would but it is all blown over and I’m on a different path now.”
