Love Island’s iconic bombshells now – £6m empire, sex work and chat show success

What would Love Island be without producers chucking in a few bombshells here and there?

Over 200 Islanders have entered the famous villa over the years – and the hit ITV2 show has seen a number of iconic bombshells cross its threshold too.

And it’s fair to say that without any bombshells, the sexy smash hit show would be a whole lot less dramatic.

The latecomers come strutting into the famous villa, and the majority of the time, cause absolute chaos as they attempt to turn heads and potentially split up couples.

What’s more, there’s been several bombshells that have become so popular it’s almost like they were in the show right from the start.

So, as we watch former Islander Kady McDermott make a bombshell return to the show, Daily Star is taking a look at Love Island’s biggest bombshells now.

Maura Huggins

Irish babe Maura Higgins entered the villa on Day 10 in 2019 and went on to leave in fourth place alongside ex Curtis Pritchard.

Prior to her stint on the show, she worked as a ring girl for professional boxers, including Anthony Joshua.

Proving herself to be Love Island gold, after the show, she bagged a role on Dancing On Ice in 2020 – where was eliminated in week seven.

Maura also landed a mega deal with lingerie brand Ann Summers and released a collab with Ego shoes.

As for her love life, things got pretty serious between Maura and Strictly Come Dancing’s hunk Giovanni Pernice in 2021.

But the two reportedly called it quits in October of the same year.

She was also rumoured to have had a fling with TOWIE alum Joey Essex.

Chloe Burrows

Chloe Burrows was the first day bombshell of series seven of Love Island in 2021, and struck up a relationship with Toby Armolaran.

She was a hit with viewers thanks to her iconic one-liners and personality, and she finished in third place with Toby.

After the show ended, things seemed to be going from strength to strength for the pair, but in October 2022 they ended things.

It’s not been all heartbreak for Chloe though, as she’s since starred in several reality TV shows, like Channel 4’s recent hit Scared Of The Dark.

She also bagged her own chat show Chloe vs The World, and has spoken to the likes of fellow Love Islanders and reality stars including fellow co-star Liam Reardon and this year’s winter series champs, Samie Elishi and Tom Clare.

Molly-Mae Hague

It’s hard to believe Love Island’s biggest star Molly-Mae, was actually a bombshell back in 2019.

As fans will know she struck up a relationship with Tommy Fury and the pair are still very much together and have enjoyed a ton of success since the show.

Tommy’s embarked on a mega successful boxing career, while Molly-Mae has made history as the richest ever Love Island contestant – as the 24-year-old is now reported to be worth a whopping £6million.

Already an influencer before joining the show, Molly landed a six-figure deal with fashion brand PLT in 2019 and went on to become their creative director – a role she recently left.

She also released her own self-tanning range, Filter by Molly-Mae, as well as her own best-selling memoir, Becoming Molly-Mae.

Molly and Tommy also welcomed their first baby, a girl called Bambi earlier this year.

Megan Barton Hanson

Megan won over legions of fans in 2018 when she entered the Love Island villa on day eight.

She made the final and came fourth place – but her work post-show has made her a feminist icon that’s not afraid to keep it real about sex.

She signed up to racy adults-only site OnlyFans, a move that reportedly bagged her a £1million in just 12 months.

She also writes her own sex and love advice column for Vice and she’s also launched her own successful podcast You Come First.

Meg also dabbled in reality TV again, appearing on the sexy sun-soaked show Celebrity Ex On The Beach in 2022.

She also landed her own edit with Ann Summers as well as her own sex toy collection with the kinky retailer.

Jessica Shears

Jess and future-hubby Dom Lever both appeared on series 3 of Love Island – but never met on the show and got together outside the villa.

This was because they both left separately and early on in the series.

After three months of dating, the pair announced their engagement and married in a romantic ceremony in Mykonos in October 2018.

Seven months after tying the knot, they revealed that they were expecting their first child who was born in September 2019.

Jess then gave birth to their second son in June 2022 – and the family currently live in Devon.
