Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri ‘didn’t believe’ surprise Coronation invite was real

Tasha Ghouri confessed she “didn’t believe” she was really invited to King Charles’ Coronation celebrations this weekend after she received a last minute invite.

The former Love Island star was utterly speechless when she received a royal invitation to attend the Coronation Concert on Sunday (May 7) at Windsor Castle, the day after the King was crowned.

Last Wednesday (May 3), the model and proud deaf campaigner, 24, took to Instagram to share a snap of the highly sought after ticket just days before the big day.

Now, the blonde bombshell has revealed what it was like to be invited to the star-studded event as she explained how her charity work secured her a spot at the royal castle.

Speaking to Daily Star, she gushed: “I didn’t expect it if I’m honest. It’s a great opportunity to be invited. And it’s gonna be a great day, and I get to go with Andrew as well so we will go together.

“I didn’t expect it at all. I think it’s because I do a lot of charity work behind the scenes that not everyone really knows about. So I think that’s kind of why it’s come about, but I’m excited. I can’t wait.”

The TV personality went on to explain that unlike many others, she received her invite less than a week before the big day.

Tasha went on: “They told me a week before, my management was like, ‘You have been invited’ and I was like, ‘No way!’

“So yeah, the actual invite came in a few days ago. To actually see it in person. I was like ‘Wow’, I didn’t believe it.”

The model became Love Island’s first-ever deaf contestant when she appeared on the ITV2 reality show last year where she fell head over heels with her now boyfriend Andrew Le Page.

But she’s not the only celebrity set to celebrate the coronation at the castle, with Tom Cruise, Dame Joan Collins and Bear Grylls also expected to make an appearance.

Alongside Sir Tom Jones and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, the loved-up couple will appear in a series of pre-recorded sketches sharing a number of little-known facts about the new monarch.
