But lots of fans didn’t enjoy the joke with, some insisting pregnancy shouldn’t be joked about as there are lots of people who would love to have a baby but can’t.
However, instead of addressing the backlash, Maisie took to social media to share a clip from her loved-up holiday in Dubai with Max.
The former Strictly star gave fans a glimpse at their romantic date night with a snap of a dinner table placed within a huge private pod on the beach.
Tagging Max in the picture after their lavish meal, she wrote: “Best night with you [red love heart emoji].”
In another snap, Max appeared to joke about the big meal as he shared a snap of him and Maisie sipping on large milkshakes sprinkled with sweets.
He added the caption: “Never. Eating. Again.”
After Maise and Max’s pregnancy prank, one complained: “I used to like these 2 but not now.
“Pregnancy is NOT something to be Joked about. There’s people out there that would love to be Parents that would give anything to have a Baby and for whatever reason they can’t. So inconsiderate ,, Shameful.”
Another said: “I love Maisie but as someone who can’t have kids this really hits hard. Pregnancy is no joke to people who can’t have kids.”
