Patsy Kensit has revealed that she was rushed to hospital just after Christmas after contracting pneumonia.
The 54-year-old actress shared the news with fans on Instagram on Wednesday (Jan 4th) where she detailed the scary ordeal as told how she was missing out on a skiing holiday while she recovered.
She also thanked the “hero” NHS staff who took such good care of her.

Underneath a photo of a table of a cheese board and a big bottle of water, she penned: “No skiing for me as I’ve got pneumonia so spa and steam and thermals up to my eyeballs…

“Thank you to the amazing NHS for taking care of me on the 29th of December at A&E in Southport you are the true hero’s on this planet. Health is paramount,” followed by a praying emoji.
It comes after last week, EastEnders released a photo showing the actress for the first time in character as Lola Pearce’s mum Emma Harding.

The actress, who has previously starred in Emmerdale and Holby City, will make her debut on Albert Square next month.
Patsy’s character will return to Walford to reunite with her daughter for the first time since she left her with her father at the age of three.
Despite the appearance being a short stint, Patsy’s time will certainly be eventful as she’ll be part of the emotional storyline that will see Lola lose her battle with terminal brain cancer.
Patsy revealed appearing on the BBC soap “has always been a dream” of hers, saying: ‘”I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders.
“The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me”.

A source told The Sun: “Bosses are thrilled they have managed to get Patsy for this role. She’s a great actress and is about to play a part in one of their biggest current storylines.”
Her character Emma has never appeared in the soap before, having abandoned Lola (Danielle Harold) and her father when her daughter was just three years old.
Danielle, who plays Lola is set to leave the soap following the storyline.
Back in 2019, former model Patsy told of her interest in heading to Walford and becoming the new Peggy Mitchell.
She told Radio Times: ‘I’d love to do EastEnders, my father was involved in organized crime in the East End, so I grew up around villains and that kind of backdrop. I can pull a pint and say, “You’re barred”.
