Sarah Beeny shares career announcement as she issues health update after cancer battle

Sarah Beeny has revealed she will be returning to TV after being given the all-clear after battling cancer.

The 51-year-old presenter was diagnosed with breast cancer in August last year.

She appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday (April 14) with her sons Billy and Raffy to promote their new show, Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country, with stand-in host Christine Lampard.

Sarah also shared the news that she’s been given the all clear.

“t’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride,” Sarah told host Christine.

“But I feel very fortunate that I had the diagnosis that I did, and that I live in 2023 and that I’m the age that I am. So many things I’m fortunate for so I feel very blessed.”

Speaking on how she feels following the recent news that she is now cancer-free, Sarah shared candidly, “Weird.

“It’s good but it’s weird. They kind of go, ‘That’s it then, that’s the end of that’ And you kind of go, ‘How do you know?’ and they go ‘We don’t, we just kind of think so’’.”

Although now cancer-free, Sarah shared, “I’ll have to take drugs for the next 10 years and be very vigilant, but yeah it’s been a weird ride that I wouldn’t wish on anyone else but I’m glad I did it rather than somebody else.”

Sarah’s sons Billy and Raffy, also spoke about their mum’s new bleached hairstyle.

“It was their younger brother who did it,” she said, explaining that her son Laurie did the bleach “with a blusher brush”.

The TV star also said that it helped to be distracted by her sons. “There’s a lot that goes on, it’s a busy house.

“I’ve been working all the way through [treatment] and they’ve [the boys] got the band, and they’ve got school.”

“There is so much going on. It’s good to keep busy, I like to keep busy.

Property expert Sarah recently celebrated finishing her run of chemotherapy on Instagram.

She wrote in a post: “Not sure what is making the sun shine the most – two days into steroids (happy pills!!!) – no more chemo or @the_entitled_sons releasing their best song yet…
