80s icon Lionel Richie joked that he can “no longer go all night long” on Tuesday’s episode of The View.
The star topped the charts with his hit song All Night Long in the 80s but it seems at the age of 73 his stamina has dwindled.
The song turns 40 this year and Lionel appeared on The View alongside American Idol judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.

Lionel said: “When I wrote ‘All Night Long,’ it was truly all night long,”
The crowd cheered and laughed and then the pop star joked: “Now my ‘all night long’ is down to a fierce 15 minutes.”

The pop star continued: “But, don’t worry, we’ll talk about that later.”
Katie Perry then said: Fifteen minutes? That’s long, bud.”
The 73-year-old replied, “And don’t you forget that, alright?”
The California Girls singer responded: “As long as it’s not four times a night, seven days a week.”

Even though the star might not be able to go “all night long” anymore his girlfriend 40-years his senior doesn’t seem to mind.
Lisa Parigi and Lionel Richie started dating in 2014.
The model from Switzerland began dating her now-beau Lionel 10 years after his marriage to second wife Diane Alexander.
The Easy singer shares two children; Miles, 28, and Sofia, 24, from his second marriage to Diane, and a daughter, Nicole Richie, 41, from his first marriage to Brenda Harvey.

The pair tend to keep their relationship out of the spotlight but Lionel previously opened up about his “extremely beautiful” girlfriend back in 2019, when he said she makes everything “feel a bit safe”.
The singer told People : “I’m a hopeless romantic. She’s extremely beautiful, but most importantly she’s smart and helps me deal with my crazy world.
“At this time in my life when you can be so jaded about things, Lisa kind of makes everything feel a bit safe.”
