Stacey, who doesn’t mind getting stuck into the renovation work herself, has spent the last two years renovating their £1.2m Tudor-style mansion in the Essex countryside.

She’s also set to front a new DIY Channel 4 DIY series called Bricking It, which will see her step in to help homeowners complete unfinished projects around their house.

Speaking about the series, she said: “From an early age, my dad taught me DIY and the importance of fixing things yourself where you can.

“I still find it so satisfying to build or repair around the house and it saves loads of money.”
