Stephen Mulhern planning tell-all book with ‘so many stories’ and won’t pull his punches

Television star Stephen Mulhern is preparing to rock the showbiz world by lifting the lid on the industry’s nastiness.

He’s planning a tell-all memoir that won’t be shy of naming names. Stephen said: “I was offered a big amount of money to write my autobiography.

“I’m 46, so I think 50 might be a good time. I’ve got so many stories – some funny, some upsetting. There are a couple of people I’d tell the truth about and not feel bad.”

And he seemed to take aim at Simon Cowell.

He added: “Who do you think will be top of the list? I’ll give you a clue: one of them begins with an S…”

When asked “does this person’s surname begin with a C?”, he added, smiling: “Could be.”

Stephen spent 12 years hosting Simon Cowell’s BGT spin-off Britain’s Got More Talent.

And he’s been back on screens recently hosting the revived classic TV series Deal or No Deal.

But fans were fuming after the show returned with an unpopular format change.

The show, once hosted by Noel Edmonds, became a legendary programme, which saw a number of future famous faces take part, and made it’s comeback on ITV on November 20.

The first episode of the rebooted series saw wedding planner Sian take her box to the table. But fans were less than impressed when they realised that the maximum prize money had gone down from the original incarnation.

Previously, the maximum prize a contestant could win was £250,000 – but now the ultimate prize has now gone down to just £100,000, which used to be the second-highest prize given away.
