Sunday Brunch viewers issue same complaint as star-studded guests appear on show

Channel 4 viewers were left rather sidetracked during the latest episode of Sunday Brunch as they claimed there were too many guests on the show.

The popular weekend programme hosted by Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy made for compelling viewing as the presenters showcased their culinary skills.

The show also included a star-studded lineup with Romesh Ranganathan, Alex James, Shaparak Khorsandi, Shirlie Kemp, Pepsi Demacque, Neil Morrissey, Alison Mitchell and band The Lottery Winners all appearing on the show.

In addition to this, British actress Vivian Oparah was also scheduled to appear on the programme too.

Fans took to Twitter to highlight the amount of guests on Sunday Brunch

But some viewers were quick to highlight that there might have been a few too many guests in the studio.

Taking to Twitter, one social media user joked: “I don’t think there is enough guests?”

Another echoed: “I don’t think they have enough guests on today.”

A third chimed: “Think they need a bigger table.”

“Should have booked Les Dennis as well for today’s lineup,” another viewer joked.

While another viewer appeared excited to see the celebs on the show and penned: “Should be a good show today with those guests…”

At the start of the programme, presenter Tim announced that it was the last in the series of their popular segment, spot the banana.

On Sunday Brunch’s official Instagram page, the account also asked viewers to get involved by sharing where they think the fruit is in the studio.

Flocking to the comment section, fans shared their thoughts on where the mystery banana is- with some stating that they don’t want it to be cancelled.

One Instagram user wrote: “It’s on the shelf behind Tim’s right shoulder, above the microwave! Don’t cancel this, can’t wait for the second series!”

Another penned: “I guess you ran out of places to hide the banana or someone just couldn’t be a***d! Lol. Goodbye mystery Banana.”

The news comes after Simon returned to the show last week after he announced he dad had passed away last month.

Last week, he took to social media and said: “It is back to work for me today, after what has been probably one of the most difficult weeks of my life.

He also said: “I just wanted to say a massive heartfelt message and personal thanks to every single member of staff at Arrow Park Hospital for the way Dad was looked after last week.

“And us as a family. Every single second we were made to feel the most important people on the planet.”
